Heroes,

THANK YOU for creating such dynamic scenes for next month’s Action Scene Competition in partnership with WarnerMedia’s Urban Action Showcase. You can watch all the submissions here.

It’s important to note that even though the submission deadline to be considered in the official Urban Action Showcase competition is closed, you can still complete this Challenge on the JFH app. It won’t be on the Urban Action Showcase panel in November, but we’d still love to share your scene with the JFH community at the next Hero Meetup.

Speaking of Hero Meetups, last week’s was special because every Hero/Villain who attended has made content on the JFH app! Elixir, Yulong, Vengeance, Armored Knight, Guru Mer Kaba, Tai Chi Wonder, Creator, Sensei Claus, and Rag Doll—Thank you all for joining! Watch Hero Meetup XXII below.

Again, thank you all for being a part of this growing community. We’re bound to grow exponentially in the next 6 months with our production company ReelwUrld’s equity crowdfunding campaign launching in the coming days. The spirit, talent and storytelling prowess in the Justice For Hire community proves that ReelwUrld’s focus on audience-first filmmaking is the future of filmmaking.

What is equity crowdfunding? Equity crowdfunding means that in addition to being a part of the JFH community, you can own a part of the company that produces JFH. Investors for the first $150K of ReelwUrld’s campaign will get a 30% bonus on their investment. 50K of eligible bonus shares have already been claimed. It’s really important to us that ReelwUrld is a fan-owned company because you, the creators, come first.

ReelwUrld is testing the waters to evaluate investor interest. No money or other consideration is being solicited; if sent, it will not be accepted. No offer to buy securities will be accepted. No part of the purchase price will be received until a Form C is filed and, then, only through WeFunder. Any indication of interest has no obligation or commitment of any kind.

Heroes,

Our 22nd Meetup is this Friday, October 15, 9pm EST / 6pm PST on Zoom. This will set the stage for the rest of this year and beyond. RSVP here. This is what we’ll cover:

  • This meetup falls on the deadline of our JFH Action Scene REMAKE Competition, so we’ll talk about what’s next if you submitted and how to support your fellow cast if you didn’t.

  • Remember how in January we said JFH will have its own shows and movies for anyone who wants to be in them? That’s happening now, and part of our efforts to make sure we these shows hit different is our production company ReelwUrld’s upcoming equity crowdfunding campaign. It launches on October 29 on WeFunder. We’ll talk about how anyone 18 & up can OWN a piece of the company producing JFH. Allowing our community to own the company is a key part of the JFH vision.

  • We’ll say goodbye (for now) to the first real-life superhero cast member of JFH, Arachnoid, before he goes off to the military.

Once again, RSVP here. See you FRIDAY.

Heroes!

Our cinematic universe just got even more REAL. As you know, ReelwUrld is the production studio that powers the Justice For Hire cinematic universe and app. Starting October 29, ReelwUrld will begin an equity crowdfunding campaign (meaning you can invest anywhere from $100 to infinity to own a piece of the company) on WeFunder to expand not only JFH, but build out even more cinematic universes.

The future of filmmaking is YOU, and that’s why allowing anyone to own a part of ReelwUrld (and thus, JFH) is such a key element of our mission to truly make movies and shows with the world. Take a look at our crowdfunding campaign page on WeFunder and please consider vouching for us. We’ll be updating this page regularly, offering perks to early investors before we go public, and more. You can follow our progress by pressing the heart button.

Now, let all that exciting news settle in while you check out three amazing things we’re doing for New York Comic Con weekend:

  • We’ve released the uncut edition of our “Your Cinematic Universe” panel we did for New York Comic Con last year. The panel, all about the history and future of audience participation in storytelling, features the world’s leading transmedia producer Jeff Gomez, iconic “Star Wars” actor Ahmed Best, former Spider-Man comics Editor-in-Chief Danny Fingeroth, LARP pioneer Aaron Vanek, former Newsweek journalist/ReelwUrld cofounder Autumn Noel Kelly, ReelwUrld Founder Jan Lucanus, DJ’d by the glorious cyberpunk band, Angelspit.

  • Jan will be on TheDojo.com podcast talking about the future of Tai Chi, how it ties into his life as an entrepreneur and creator, and more on Monday at 8pm EST / 5pm PST,

As usual, thank you for the continued love and support. The volume on this journey is about to turn way up!

Note: ReelwUrld is testing the waters to evaluate investor interest. No money or other consideration is being solicited; if sent, it will not be accepted. No offer to buy securities will be accepted. No part of the purchase price will be received until a Form C is filed and, then, only through Wefunder. Any indication of interest has no obligation or commitment of any kind.
